Abstract

The project involves creating a detailed 3D replica of KPI Building 15 on the VRChat platform.Users will be able to freely move between floors, enter classrooms, and observe virtual classesin different academic fields. The key feature of the project is the use of audio recordings of reallectures by university instructors to create the most immersive and authentic atmosphere ofstudent life and the actual educational process.

The project proposes an innovative approach to the virtualization of the educationalenvironment by creating a multilevel interactive model of KPI Building 15 in VRChat. Theconcept is to develop a large-scale virtual location in which every detail — from corridors toclassrooms — reproduces the familiar atmosphere of the building for students. Users will beable to explore the virtual building from a first-person perspective, move between floors, andenter different classrooms, selecting content according to their interests. A key feature of theproject is the creation of the effect of “live” classrooms. Simulated lectures and practicalclasses in different disciplines will take place simultaneously in different rooms. To achievemaximum immersion, the project uses audio recordings of real KPI instructors. These includeboth specially recorded messages created for the project and edited excerpts from actual videolectures, used with the instructors’ consent. When users enter a classroom, they hear theinstructor’s voice, see relevant educational materials displayed on virtual boards or screens —such as code fragments, diagrams, or presentations — and experience the atmosphere of anactual class. The location is developed in accordance with strict optimization requirements toensure comfortable and stable operation both on VR headsets and standard PCs.

The virtual space will serve not only as a nostalgic hub for current and former students, butalso as a powerful tool within the NEXT-Study Metaverse, enabling prospective students to“attend” classes virtually even before enrolling at the university.
