Annotation

The course “Virtual Worlds Development” is dedicated to the study of immersive technologies, including extended reality (XR), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR), as well as their application in creating digital environments. The course covers the fundamental principles of these technologies, their differences, and the specifics of user interaction. Considerable attention is given to software tools and platforms for XR application development, such as Unity, ARKit, and ARCore, as well as tools for creating 2D and 3D content.

The course develops practical competencies in creating augmented and extended reality applications, particularly those based on surface and image tracking. It also highlights best practices for designing immersive environments, including rendering, interaction, and user experience optimization. An important component of the course is its practical application: it provides step-by-step instructions for developing several mobile augmented reality applications using Unity.

Thus, the course combines theoretical foundations of immersive technologies with practical development experience, enabling learners to acquire both fundamental knowledge and applied skills in XR application development.
