This course focuses on the topic of cybersecurity in the context of multimedia. It includes a description of the specifics of multimedia in relation to other digital content, multimedia services, accompanying technologies, activities and their purpose, copyright protection systems. It deals with specific vulnerabilities of multimedia and their examples. It focuses more closely on the principles of DRM, watermarking, non-fungible tokens and especially the area of deepfakes, i.e. intentional fake content and the principles of its detection. It deals in more detail with selected types of deepfakes based on face swapping and voice cloning.
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
Know the principles and examples of basic attacks through multimedia
To know the advantages of copyright protection systems and their interconnection with the topic of cyber security
Know the basic principles of embedding and detecting watermarks
Know the principles of using a non-fungible token
Know the basic types of deepfakes in multimedia, text, audio, image, video and their combinations and the principle of their creation and the principles of their detection.
